1. Who we are, and who we are not

purdueirb.com is operated by an independent consulting practice. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Purdue University Global, Purdue Global's Institutional Review Board, or any part of the Purdue system. It has no connection to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, whose review processes are separate and are not described on this site. "Purdue Global" and "Purdue" are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to identify the institution readers attend. We are not the board, we do not speak for it, and nothing on this site is the university's guidance; where this site and the university's current handbook or IRB portal differ, the handbook governs.

2. What the service is

The service is consultation on, and preparation and carriage of, the IRB process for a doctoral study, DNP project or capstone. At the candidate's request it includes: reading the design and settling the category honestly; laying the document plan; preparing the application, the consent, the recruitment materials, the alignment of instruments, the data-security plan and site permission letters for signature; assembling and submitting the file through the university's portal on the candidate's word; and answering the board — revision responses, amendments, continuing review — until the approval letter exists. The three packages, and which of these each carries, are described on the pricing sheet.

3. What stays the candidate's

The research is the candidate's: the question, the design, the choice of instruments, the data collected, the analysis and the findings. We do not conduct research, collect data, analyse data or author findings, and nothing we prepare is a substitute for the candidate's own scholarship. Every document we draw is shown to the candidate before it is filed, is filed only on the candidate's word, and is filed under the candidate's name as the investigator of record. The candidate remains responsible to the university for the accuracy of what is submitted and for conducting the study as approved.

4. The board's decision is its own

No review, document, submission or reply by this practice changes, predicts or guarantees any decision of the board. We do not quote review durations, our own turnaround times, or likelihoods of approval. What we undertake is the work described in the quote, done to the standard described on this site: one study, every document to the same dimensions, every required element present, every reply answered.

5. The free application review

The free application review is free, commits the candidate to nothing, and returns a written findings list and a determination reading. It may return the single line "submit it", in which case no quote follows unless the candidate asks for one. The review is a reading of the documents sent, as sent; it is not the board's determination and it does not replace the university's own requirements.

6. Quotes, fees and payment

Fees are quoted in writing after the free review, per package, as a fixed sum. Nothing is billed by the hour and nothing is added to an accepted quote except by a further written quote the candidate accepts. Work begins when a quote is accepted and payment is made by the means named in the quote; the seasonal offer, where claimed, is applied on the quote to the package chosen. Fees are for the work described, not for any outcome, and are not contingent on the board's decision. The university's own fees, if any apply to a submission, are the university's and are not part of any quote.

7. What we need from the candidate

Accurate documents and answers; the proposal of record; timely review of what we draw; the candidate's own portal credentials used by the candidate, or the candidate's word to file where the portal permits a delegate; and the signatures the file requires — on site letters, on the application — which only the candidate and the site can give. Where the candidate changes the design after a document is drawn, the change is redrawn across the file as part of the work; where the change is large enough to move the quote, a further quote is given in writing before it is done.

8. Academic integrity

The practice supports the candidate's own study through the IRB process. It does not write the study, fabricate data, invent site permissions, or represent itself to any institution as the candidate. The candidate is responsible for complying with the university's policies on assistance and authorship, and for disclosing consultation where those policies ask for disclosure.

9. Confidentiality

What the candidate sends is read by the drafting room and the application desk and by no one else, is used only for the candidate's file, and is handled as the privacy sheet describes. We do not contact the university, the board, or any site on the candidate's behalf except as the candidate directs in writing.

10. Liability

Our liability for the work is limited to the fee paid for it. We are not liable for the board's decisions, for the university's requirements or their change, for delays in the board's cycle, for data collected outside an approval, or for documents the candidate altered after we drew them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. The site

The content of this site is general information about the IRB process as the practice understands it, written for candidates in Purdue Global's programs, and is not legal advice, not the university's guidance, and not a substitute for the university's current handbook or IRB portal. The drawings, text and instruments on the site are the practice's and may be quoted with attribution. Testimonials are the words of real candidates, shortened at their request; the figures on the site describe the practice's record.

12. Changes

These terms may change; the revision date above changes with them, and the terms in force when a quote is accepted govern that work. Questions about any clause go to hello@purdueirb.com.
